What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses Hypnosis as a method of changing your beliefs by getting you to focus your attention on positive suggestions. Hypnotherapy is one of the shortest forms of Psychotherapy, but it is a straightforward, complementary therapy.
There are many definitions of hypnosis, and it is one which opens up a great deal of debate. Some believe that we tap into the subconscious, but others think this does not exist. During my free consultation, we will discuss this further so that you totally understand the process and therefore achieve the positive change in your life that you are looking for.
Hypnotherapy has no side effects; it is a very safe therapy which helps you move forward with your life and achieve the goals you have set out to achieve.
Can I be hypnotised?
After your free consultation you will have a better understanding of the process, and therefore, in principle, you can be hypnotised. I will teach you the skills of Hetero-Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis, and you will learn how to help yourself with your challenges. I am also able to offer personalised audio sessions which, together with your one to one sessions, will assist you in your journey to success.
Remember that even if you are hypnotised, you don’t have to take on the therapist’s suggestions. No one can hypnotise you if you don’t want them to.
Is Hypnosis guaranteed to work?
Nothing in life is guaranteed. Hypnosis works if ‘YOU’, the client, wants it to work. Hypnosis is a complementary therapy, which works alongside any other treatment you may be receiving. It is also a collaborative process, meaning you have to put 100% effort into the sessions to achieve the results you are aiming for. The results lie with you, and the work continues well after the sessions have finished.
If you are looking to make positive changes in your life to achieve your full potential, you have to strive for it. I can teach you how to empower your inner beliefs.
I keep in touch with my client’s and monitor their progress after the treatment plan has come to an end, offering support and guidance should it be required. All I guarantee is, that, I will do my best to help you.
Will I be in control during hypnosis?
Yes, you will remain in total control throughout your sessions. People worry that they will lose control or do and say things they don’t want to when under hypnosis. This is not the case. You can choose not to answer if you are not comfortable with any suggestions made to you.
Do I need to consult my GP before having hypnotherapy?
During your Free consultation, I will advise if I feel you should consult your GP. Meeting with your GP is recommended if you have a severe medical condition.
